London, Sept. 24. - A French Eastern communique states: —
j The Allied successes in Macedonia are j attaining the character of a great victory. The French and' Serbian .advance to--1 wards the middle Vardar compelled the enemy along the whole front of 150 kilometres between Mona-stir and Doiran to retreat precipitately, the Allies closely pursuing. | North-east ■of Monastir we reached I the line Mogili-Kanatalantis-Kalkani, ' while the Serbians,; marching on Prilep jand Babuna.P^ass, reached tbc Vardar from DemirKap'u.' to", Gradsto." • -Some detachments have already; crossed the rriver to the right bank. I In the' Vardar Valley the Allies arc ' beyond the lino Koynskox Teurinest, on the left bank, and have carried Ghevgheli and also the whole of the first enemy lino as far as Lake Doiran. The rearguards are endeavouring to stem the pursuit. The enemy columns on the roads in the region of Monastir, Krusevo, and Prilep are fleeing in in-, deseribable disorder under incessant air craft bombing and machine gunning. Numerous villages and dumps are burning. I Some prisoners and guns and an enormous quantity of booty have been captured, including two long-range guns.
