WORKSHOPS FOR INVALID SOLDIERS.

The executive of the Wellington lied Cross has received a letter from the Governor-General conveying a sugges"tion by Surgeon-General Henderson that the Red Cross consider the question of erecting workshops for soldiers ■undergoing orthopaedic treatment. One as to be. started at the ' consumptive sanatorium at Hatuma, and Mb proposed to establish functional workrooms at tho Wanganui Convalescent Home the Christchurch Surgical Hospital, the Masterton Hospital, the Dunedin Convalescent Homo, the Mohtecillo Home, at Invercargill, and an extension at Hiinmor.
