FRETHEY—CHISHOLM.

September 14th. St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Wangnniu, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday, the 4th inst., the contracting parties being Edmund Albertus Frethey, third son of Mr Thds. Frethev, of Wanganui, and Ivy Sedman, older doughter of Mr and Mrs W. Webster Cliisliolm, or Wanganui East. The church was beautifully decorated witlv spring flowers by the" members of the "Young Women's' Bible Class, of which i the Vide was an active member and a handsome floral bell was suspended.over. i the attar. The church was well filled with friends and .relatives of the brideand bridegroom. The Rev. J. D. McKenzie, BJ>., officiated, and the service was fully choral. Both the bride and bridesmaid carried beautiful" bouquets. Mr Barton Ginger fulfilled the duties of best man. After the ceremony the- ! choir sang the Aaronic Blessing, which I was followed by a hymn appropriate tof the occasion. As the wedding party lef i> | the church, the organist (Miss Kuby jTurvey) played the "Wedding March," and the nappy couple were the recipients of hearty congratulations on aiL sides. Subsequently a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, Anzac Parade, Wanganui East,' the usual toasts being honoured. Mr | and Mrs Frethey left by motor on their ihonejTmoon trip amid tne best wishes of their many friends. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome necklet, with pendant- to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a set of sil-ver-mounted military hair brushes. Theyoung couple were the recipients of a iavge number of valuable and useful wedding presents.
