BOYES—THOMPSON.

A simple but pretty wedding was celebrated in the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Nelson, on Tuesday, August 27th. The contracting parties were Mr Percy Stratton Boyes, lute of N.Z.F.A., and Miss Phyllis Moira Thompson, eldest daughter of Mr. F. A. Thompson, Commissioner of Crown Lands. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. H. Gibb, 8.A., Th« bride, who was given away by her father, wore a. dress of white embroidered voile and the orthodox veil and orange blossoms,and carried a charming bouquet of white flowers with streamers of white ribbon. She was attended by her onlysister, Miss F. Thompson, as bridesmaid, who wore a pretty white voilefrock and pink sash and a very pretty pink hat, and carried a bouquet. The bridegroom's brother, Mr. Philip Boyes, acted as best man. Mr. Smith, organist c>f the church, presided at the organ in a very efficient manner. After the service the members of the two families and a few personal friends were entertained by the bride's mother at her residence in Trafalgar square. The table, which was decorated by Mrs. GeorgeTverr, looked very beautiful, the colour scheme being silver and white. The bride's going away costume was a neat black and white serge. She also wore a handsome set of red fox furs, the gift of the bridegroom, and a pretty green hat. The bride was the recipient of a great number of handsome and Useful presents.
