- ■ ■ . \ CreymoutJySept. 13. _ Justices-Chapman and Sim delivered judgment this morning on the points referred to them yesterday. in the Grey election petition, in t&f first four cases the vote is voted; in the fifth" case the] vote is unvoted; in the sixth case the j i vote is unvoted • in the seventh case the! vote is unvoted; and in the eighth case j the answer depends on whether the voter made a lnistake or wilfully made a false declaration. Mr Hannan said the petitioner (Mr :T. E. Coates) did not intend pursuing |the action further. Tho bulk of the votes'challenged were covered in issues Nos. 1 and 2, and Their Honours' deci-i sion was against the petitioner. Mr Holland's majority could be greatly re-i duced. There %vere 27.cases of plural voting, but, having failed in issues Nos.; 1 and 2, the petitioner had no hope of success. ' - ■ Their Honours granted costs as al-1 lowed by the Act, and left them to the Registrar to fix. .
