Mr Balfour, ■•.speaking at the Greek dinner Jit the Carlton, and referring to the Salonika offensive, stated that the first and second lines of enemy trenches, and. also various important hills, had been carried. This was only the prelude to a greater success in which the British and Greek troops would take an equal and glorious part.
