After receiving the Chamber of Commerce deputation yesterday morniii» the Hon..G. W. Russell, in his cap£ city as Minister-in Charge of Hospitals visited the Nelson Hoppita' in coin' pany with Messrs T. A. H. Fieid and R. P. Hudson, Al.P.'s, and1-Messrs T Neale (chairman), C. R. Fell and Mrs' Vlatson, members of the Nelson. Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. • The Minister was also taken out to tho Cawthron estate at Anuesbrook, anrf. driven round Stoke, returning to town for lunch.

Owing to the. sudden change in the weather, Mi*. Russell abandoned his in-tent-ion 'of. visiting Cable Bay in the afternoon, and after inspecting the Lutheran Church site visited the Mental Hospital, the Suter Art Gallery, and the Nelson Museum. He was accompanied by the Mayor (Mr. W. W. Snodgrass), Messrs Field and Hudson, M.P.'s, and Mr. Neale (chairman of the Hospital Board).

The Minister left for Wellington by the Mapourika early this morning.
