THE FISK JUBILEE SINGERS.

Speaking of the Wellington season the "Times" said:— (iAs was the case with the original Fisk Jubilee Singers the new combination, which opened a season most auspiciously at the Town Hall Concert Chamber, make a decided feature of concerted numbers. The Jubilee choruses, especially, are marvel? of well attuned harmony and gradations of tonal power .ranging from a real pianissimo to fortissimo. The former we rarely get in Wellington, and to all choirs these Jubileo Singers provide a most admirable example to be earnestly studied. In 'Steal Away,' the opening number, the voices stole in with something of - mystery as^to where silence svas ended and the voices, were henrd. And after joyous outbursts, vibrant, forceful, emphatic, the voices stole aw ay again, to. recommence in that remarkable setting of the. Lord's Prayer which the Jubilee-Singers have made peculiarly their:; own .on account of1 the remarkable co-ordination • and . artieulatiott which no other body of vocalists seem to be able to accomplish."
