;.. A distinctive honour has been conjferred on Mrs E. B. Fribcrg, former ! secretary of the Picton branch of the jNavy League; in recognition of-her work his organiser in the Maiiborough district. Mrs Friberg Jias received the following letter from the General Secretary of the Navy League, London: —''The recommendation received from, the- Weliliugton branch that the Special Service ; Decoration ■ should bo awarded to you jwas before my Executive Committee at its meeting on the 21st June, and it was much interested in the account given of your splendid work in connection with the Ladies' Auxiliary Branch at Picton. ii have very great pleasure, in-informing 1 you that it was unanimously resolved that tbo Special Service. Decoration of the League should bo presented to you as a mark of the warm appreciation of your valuable =orvicos in the movement., and to the iu■torest^ of. our splendid fighting sailors. The deooration will be forwarded under registered cover "as soon as it- is rejceived from the engravers."
