The British have crossed the Canal-da-fford and the TortiUe river on a wide front north of Mprlahoourt, and are making rapid progress eastward, the Germans retreating in confusion. Several villages have been captured. Eurther north English! and New Zealand troops took Huyaulcourt, north-east of Oombles, and reached Havrincourt. Moeuvres, west of Cambrai, has been captured. Further progress has been made in ths Lys sector. East of the Canal-du-Nord, and between the .Ailetta and the Aisne, the French and Americans are making rapid headway.
