' The Reconstruction ■Committee, on Adult Education recommends, to enable men and women'to develop their intellectual, aesthetic, and- spiritual life, a reduction of the working day to a maximum of eight hou,rs, and reduction of overtimeHo the minimum, witk prohibition of regular night work, and alternative forms of employment to -counteract the depressing mental effect of monotonous work. There should be regular holidays on full pay. The committee condemns tli© existing housing conditions, and appeals for anore consideration for the workers' lot.
