SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS.

At the meeting of the Nelson Hospital Board yesterday, Dr. Jamieson, Resident Surgeon, reported as follows: Since it is now certain that the present hospital buildings will have to be occupied for five or more years, the board will require to considered makeprovision for some considerable expenditure on the exi&kiag buildings. For years now the very least possible has been done in the matter of renewals and repairs in expectation of the new Hospital being started, and unless more is done now there will be serious deterioration of the buildings, and the work of the Hospital will l>o carried on under undue difficulties. />raong the matters requiring attention 1 may mentiou :—- ---61) ■ Painting, which is' every where re-r quired.
