Mr A. Mcßride, of (J'ollingwood street, has received advice that his brother,» Private John Mcßride,, was admitted to hospital in France between 7th and 12th May, woundeA in.the right leg. .

Tho Rev. K. C. W. Powell, chaplain to the New Zealand forces, who recently returned from France, lias reported again for duty, and has been appointed to the Thirty-eighth Reinforcements. The Rev. Mr Powell is the eldest son of the late Mr Edward Powell, formerly a dentist at Westport.

Cabled advice has been received of the death in London of Dr W. Beresford Robinson, formerly of Christchurch, elder son of William Robinson, lliccarton. He went to London in 1907 to study medicine at Guy's Hospital, and after a brilliant career as a suicTent ne became president of the resident staff. For some time past he had been doing war service as officer in charge of the officers' hospital at Chelsea. He was 29 years of age, and leaves a wife and child.
