Thereiwere exciting scenes at a public demonstration against Archbishop Mannix, Sinn Feinism, and the display of disloyal emblems in the recent St. Patrick's Day procession. Among the crowd in the' Town Hall the Sinn Fern colours caused free fights,, and some' remaining seated during thei playing of the National Anthem created an. angry, demonstration.

Tie meeting' resolved to urge tfc<* Federal Government to take action under' the War Precautions Act. "Subsequently a deputation visited Mr Hughes, who promised immediate consideration.
