Uffiaal despatches from France state that Germany invited Sweden to send representatives to Brest Litovsk to consider Baltic questions, and particularly,, the future of the Aaland Islands. Sweden did not reply, whereupon Germany occupied the islands. The State Department says that reports from Sweden srow that the Germans requisitioned the food supplies in the Aaland Islands, causing famine conditionß. Paderewski received a cable from M. Pichon stating that the Polish revolution against the Central Powers is rapidly extending. There lave been violent demonstrations in the occupied portions of Galicia against the cession of Kholm. Polish Parliamentary clubs in Vienna and elsewhere passed resolutions against the Central Powers. Outbreaks are reported at Posen. Several prominent Poles at Vienna returned their decorations to tl'e Emperor.
