WAKEFIELD
A match was played for the Dec Cup I on Saturday last, and after a real ding-! doug game the holders (Nelson Club) were successful in holding it with a tie. I Nelson got away at''first, scoring on tho first five heads, but after 'that it was anybody's game, first one rink and then the other-leading right to the end. Scores:— Wakefield: H. Tunnicliffe, Maefarlane, Hogg, Wilkinson (s), 2V. Nelson: Catley," Bourke, Richards, Clayden (s), 27. 1 The date of tho district competition match at Motiteka has been altered to : Wednesday, February 6th, instead of in March, and Wakehekl expect .to se^ad I two rinks in addition to the three required for tiie- match. Given a fine day, the Wakefield patriotic tournament on Friday promises Ito he a big success. Those interested in Red Cross work in different districts 1 have-.promised support. Fruit and I cream will be very acceptable, and a postcard to Mr A. Wilkinson, Hope, from anyone between Richmond and Spring Grove will ensure a call being made for delivery. A special reminder is given to bowlers to hand their names in early to their own club secretary.
