Melbourne, Jan. 26. In the Houso of Representatives, Mr Hughes said the Government had directed its attention without delay to the question of maintaining the rein--force-ments. Mr Hughes also stated tlab tho shipbuilding agreement between the Government aud the unions had been ratified, and operations would commence shortly.
