<_ -. Paeroa, Jan. 22. j An Auckland (Trammer School boy named Charles Smith, the son of Dr. Smith, of T'aeroa, was drowned in the Ohmemuri river to-day. The deceased, ■who-was spending, tho holidays at his home, -was swimming -with other boys near Thorp's ■orchard.' He dived, and did not rise again. It, is thought that he was caught in a snag. Smith was about 18 years old. • •
