Weilington, Due. 20. Messrs Thompson Bros., Ltd., report as follows on the Wellington frujt and produce market:—

Notwithstanding the fact that we aro experiencing unseasonable weather, an excellent demand exists for all early stone and pip fruits. Tomatoes aro wanted, and increased shipments are recommended. Green peas continue in heavy supply, With moderate rates obtaining. The following values have ruled :—

Apples: A few well-grown samples of early varieties of apples are being marketed to-day. Irish Peach realised to 5s 6d, cooking sorts 2s 6d to 3s per half-case, ftsturmer cool stored Iss to 17s 6d, American 18s to 19s per 'bushel. Tomatoes: Choice coloured samples to 30s, other grades from 16s to 25s per half-case.

Apricots: Choice largo 8s to 10s, others 6s to 7s 3d.

Peaches: Hawke's Bay to-day, desserts to 13s, others 8s to 11s.

Plums: Wright's Early 6s to Bs, Evans' Early 6s to 7s 6d. Bronze 5s to 6s, Cherry plums 3s 6d to 5s 6d. Cherries ]6Vto 23s per half-case. Strawberries: Auckland Is 4d to Is lOd. No Nelson or Motueka available.

There is a strong inquiry for raspberries.

Black currants 10s to 10s 6d, red 7s 9d to 8s 6d per half-case. Gooseberries us 9d to 6s 6d. per halfcas^.

Green peas 6d to 9d per peck. French beans 3d to 4d per 1!>. Potatoes: Otaki and Hutt 8s to 11s per cwt.

Onions 18s to 20s. A keen demand exists for poultry. Eggs Is 8d per dozen.
