WELLINGTON FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKET.
(Special to "The Colonist.") Weliington, Oct. 25. Messrs" Thompson Bros., Ltd., report as follows on the Wellington irujt and produce market: — Increased quantities of apples have come forward during tliis week. A considerable portion of them arrived in a bruised and overripe condition. Values for choice fruit are being well maintained. Green peas are more plentiful, but values are being well maintained. There is a shortage of choice vegetables, and high rates are obtaining. We quote as follows:— v Apples: Choice Stunner 16s 6d to 18s I 6d,- bruised and overripe "8s to 12s, Rokewood 14s to 16s, choice cooking varieties 12s Gd to 13s 6d per bushel. Fears: Winter Cole 10s 6d to 12s 6d
per half-case. Tomatoes:" Hothouse 2s (5d to 2s 8d per lb. Green peas to-day Is lOd to 2s Id per pecki Asparagus 6s to 10s per dozen' bundles. Rhubarb 6s to 8s per dozen bundles.
