Hokitika, Oct. 25. A shocking fatality occurred at the •railway station shortly after the arrival of the evening train, during shunting operations. Lawrence Sullivan, a retired settler from South "Westland -over 70 years of age, was found dead! having been run over. Sullivan wa3 seen on the railway platform shortly before, and it is inferred that he was taking a short cut across the railway line to. his residence near by. He leaves a widow :ind a grown-up family, well-known graziers 'of Cook's Itiver. One son is serving/with the forces.
