It is- officially announced tlat the new battle on the Aisne has developed very favourably. The French captured all' the.crests forming ?their vohjectives, and made progress beyond.Tlia troops are now occupying tho counter slopes, tie advance being three kilometres deep on a front of eight kilometres.

Fort do Malmaißon was captured 'early in the attack, as also were the villages of -Allemant, Lesvallons, and Chavignon, with Chavignon Ravine.

Laon Plain is now lying before the French.

Ttree thousand prisoners and nineteen guns were captured.,
