About 1200 egga •were received by way of gifts, and the demand from customers exceeded the supply. The I committee thank those ladies in the city whose turn it was to give yesterday. The Red Cross i Fond benefits to the extent of £22 16s. \ The expenses were 9s 6d. Contributions were received from tie Moutere, I WaJsaea Weet, Appleby, Pvichmond, Stoke, Bishopdalo, The Port, Wakapu^ka, At:vwhai and ihp- city.
