The doorkeeper of one of the Napier picture-shows had his attention drawn to one of the patrons of his theatre on Monday evening (reports the Napier "Daily "Telegraph"), who appeared to him to 'be a particularly handsome young man. After handing o>?er the tickets with a keen side glance at the" doorkeeper, the "young fellow" sti-ut^ ted in with a cigarette in his mouth and his hat on. The usher eyed him curiously as he took his seat, and there was something about him which turned all eyes towards that part of the theatre. The firemen on duty quickly noted the breach of the regulations, and asked the masquerading young lady, for such everyone then recognised her to be. to put out the cigarette, but she did not remove her head gear. After "smoking" for some minutes under the gaze of the crowded theatre, the bc-trouserftd young, lady jumped -up and quickly lef b the theatre. Who the young lady was became the subject of spectilation for the rest of the evening, I but she had disappeared up town, without leaving a clue to her identity, I much to the disappointment of everyone.
