Messrs Burhidge and Son .report. a.v follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market:— There is a flight improvement in the market for apples, while pears are still in very good demand. Eggs keep scarce and. realise high prices. Potatoes are weaker. Poultry and pork sell readily. Prices; — Apples: Cox's Orange Pippin 8s to 9s 'tod, Jonathan 5s to 6s 6d, Delicious 5s 9d* to 7s, Stuimer 5s 6d to 7s 6d, Five Crown, 3s to 3s 9d, Munroe's Favourite 3s 9d to 4s 6d. Epps's Seedling 3.? to 3s 6d. Pears: Winter Cole 8s to 9s 6d, Nelis 8s to 9s, Vicar of Winkfield 5s to 6s, P. Barry 5s 6d to 7s 6d, all at per busuel. Eggs 2s 8d to 2s 9d per dozen. Potatoes 6s 9d per cwt. Poultry: Hen s 4s 6d to 5s Gel per pair, roosters 5s 6d to 7s. Messrs Grifhths and Co., Ltd.
