(Received May 18, 7.30 p.m.) ! London, May 18. An Italian official message says:—' Bitter fighting continues between Monte Cupco and Vodice. The enemy's repeated massed attacks were repulsed, and we retain the bastion of Monte Cucco from Height 610 to Heigtt 524. Wo made progress towards1 the important summit •of Height 652, on Monte Vodice. Enemy counter-attacks eastward of Gorz were broken. We occupied an important height southward of Gorz: W^e repulsed a- series of powerful attacks on the northern sector of the Car so. I We have captured in three days 4031 prisoners.
