France.—Letters and packets for the forces on active service in France are sent alternately via San Francisco and Vancouver, and parcels and newspapers for the same forces by direct steamers Ito London. The public are strongly, advised to continue addressing «nail matter to care of the G.P.0., Wellington. This ensures correct despatch. Money orders and registered letters close one hour, and parcel-p »t parcels 30 minutes, before the crdin&Ty mail. Parcels for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europa are sent bx direct steamers only. w gee; Chief Postmaster.
