The first part comprised teats of legerdemain, executed with his customary skill, and a performance of the cabinet trick, and in the second part Dnyer held a spiritual seance during which he executed spirit paint-' ings demonstrated the passage of matter through matter, and finally performed feats of celebrated mediums by producing spiritual forms which appeared on the darkened stage. Is conclusion, Driver made reference to his £100 challenge, which had not "been taken up, and said it would remain open for another week. As an earnest of.gpod faith Driver produced the money. Regarding a. statement that had been made doubting his claim that he had exposed the medium Bailey, Driver stated that the .exposure took place at the Opera House, Wellington, on September 22nd, 1909. He admitted that it was perfectly true he withdrew his challenge, because the late Mr William McLean wanted to depart from the original conditions and impose certain new ones, of which he did not approve.He had been, been willing to comply with the original."conditions on which the £100 wa s put up, for which sum he held the receipt. Driver was/fre^ quently applauded, and evidently had fch&? sympathies of Ms ambience.
