POSTPONEMENT OF OPERATION

(Received May 16, 6.40 p.m.) , London, May 15. In. the House of. Lords, Lord Solborne moved the postponement of the operation of the1:: Welsh Church. Disestablishment Act for a year after the war. Lord Crewe thought ike circumstances did not justify the motion- J &br3. Crawford stated tba* the Government v/ere prepared to accept a j ynotion for the general postponement of ■the Act.. •■•.. ■;■.. The Archbishop of Canterbury welcomed the Government's decision, owing to the difficulties of reorganising ,the Church.
