RETURNED SOLDIERS.
[United Press Association.!
Wellington, May 9. The Hon. A. L. Herdman said to an interviewer.- "I agree that, it" practicable, there should be one Minister only controlling and administering matters relating to returned soldiers. Such an arrangement will, I imagine, be brought into force when the war is over, and the Minister of Defence is relieved of the work of recruiting, training, and despatching soldiers. I am sure that the proposal of the Returned Soldiers' Association is sound."
