PERMANENT PICTURES.

There will be a complete change or programme at the Empire Theatre this evening, and the items will be', many and varied, including some fine films oH Auckland scenery, war. topicals,: amusing comedies, and some beautiful scenic pictures; also the final episode of the '•'Stingaree" Australian serial story. In this chapter Stingaree escapes from, prison with the assistance of his old friend Howie, who has shaived off his picturesque beard and secured a position, as a warder. Passing .is the valet of Kent, who is now Ethel's finance, Stingaree succeeds in getting aboard a boat for England. He learns on the way that he has been cleared of the charge of murder, and his happiness is completed when Kent, finding that Ethel has always loved Stingaree, gives her up to him. Motueka will be visited to-morrow night, and Richmond on Thursday, as usual.
