i Twenty thousand Stockholm workers made a demonstration outside Parliament House. The Premier promised a deputation that the- food Kitnation 'v/otyd improve after, the completion of negotiations vfith England.
The crowd was orderly, but there were occasional cries for z. revolution and a republic.
Similar demonstrations and strikes occurred in several towns in Sweeten. The military participated in somecases.
A Socialist newspaper published a secret order instructing t\vo regiments to be in readiness day ami night. An entire regiment at Norbotten struck owing to the small bread ration.
Two divisions have been deprived of arms and ammunition. Serious outbreaks are flireatehcd on' May Ist. •
