RIFLE SHOOTING.
NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB
On Saturday the club hold a'championship shoot over ranges 800- and 9CO yards, also counting for Mr. J. Glasgow's trophy. The weather was very patchy, and a choppy wind at times accounted for a good' number ci misses, notwithstanding which some good -scores were registered, Riilemnn Kenning put on a possible at 900 yards, and Rifleman Man.ssen, who secured too score for the championship put on 48 at 900 yards. Rifleman Bu.sch secured the leg-in for the trophy. Following are the scores:
