War Loan Bay opened auspiciousiy with a great and enthusiastic gathering at the Royal Exchange.
The Lord Mayor urged all to put their last penny into war loan certificates.
Sir Joseph Ward delivered war loan speeches at Wakefield and Grimsby. He will visit Leicester, Preston and Newcastle on a similar mission next week. •
