The War Office reports that operations against tho main forces of Say-qct [Ahmed's Sennssis in tho desert were tmccessfnlly concluded. We attacked tho enemy and destroyed a large quanitity of ammunition. The enemy fled.
We captured an enemy convoy in the Munarib Pass, and ambushed tho, leading party of tho ilviag enemy.
Say-eel-Ahmed, at the head of tho main body, was forced to strike southwards into tho desert.
Those operations .are a severe- blow to the Senussi, whoso main body was surprised, defeated and forced to retire into tho.closer I. Tiioir ea.sualtie-s. reach Cd 200 killed and v.^inded.. Wo capture' large- quantities oi stores and ammunition.
