Christchurch, Dec. 19. Admiral Wood was responsible for an exceptional performance in the New Brighton Handicap, when he finished second to Arthur Dillon. His time for two miles was 4min 23 3-ssec, which is easily a race record, for Australsia, the previous best being 4min. 28 -2-ssecy established by Don Caesar at Forbury Park last January.
