Bisley Bros. &nd'-Co-» , . . ; Kelson. .;. . Dear Sirs,— •. . ' ■ It afiords me much pleasure to fee able to advise you of the great success I have had froir. the 5 tons, of dockland .Basic Phosphate Manure which I'purchased from . you a few months ago. . For many years I have been a largo user of imported superphosphates," basic slag, and various brands of New, Zealand freezing -com-, paifeies' mixtures; but I have never had such snarksa success from any manures as i have had this season from your Basic Phosphate, in spite of worse weather conditions than we have experienced for many years. I used a portion of your manure to TOP DRESS some of my GRASS LAND, and the balance »I used on oats. One paddock I manured and shut up for hay. and despite the dry season from this very old pasture a. good crop, from this ver-yold pasture a good crop, while • unmannred paddocks shut up gave poor results. I manured one paddock on which I run .my cows regularly and left the others. The paddock whicii was manured J sftot^d tnsnk produces about 25 per' cent, more feed than any of the unmanured paddocks. Clovers came in a surprising manner, although clover had not shown to any extent for some years. As^j'elL as this, the grass seemed to grow'fresher and to contain more nourisfcjnent, as the cows milked better and did better when on the manured pasture. I had sufficient manure to cover half my OAT CROP, and for the remainder I used a freezing company's special grain manure. The Oats on which I Used the Basic Phosphate left the otnar cats far behind, and to such a marked extent that people asked me v;hat I had dene to ha?f my crop, I am so pleased with my success with this manure that I think every-farmer should know of its qualities, and to see this end I would be pleased to give every farmer further particulars and show the actual results. I can confidently vecommeiri Roeldand Basic Phosphate, and my order for the coming season will be about 5 tons. (Signed) W. W. LIVESAY. Brightwater, Feb. 9th. 1915. Messrs. Bisley Bros, and Co., Nelson. Dear Sirs.. — . We have to advise you of our success with Rockland Basic Phosphate Manure, We purchased two tons from you, and a:though late in the^ season, applied a - portion of it to one-half of our CLOVER PADLOCK. The other hali of this paddock we top-dressed witli Basic Slag. The difference between the manures was most marked, and we had a really wonderful result with the Basic Phosphate. The portion^ manured with the Basic Phosphate grew 'stronger, taller, and the clover was Tjright green, whereas the Basic Slag portion liad a yellowish tinge, and v;as decidedly inferior, r We are so pleased with our Success with tMs manure that we will use large quantities during the coming season. (Signed): NEWMAN BROS. ~ Although -the paddock ■Ras not top.crossed uni following year the resuli was even more noticeable, which proves that oesjc Phosphate is a lasting manure. ■. \t Riwukii, Murch 11th, 1915. Messrs. liiili'y Bros, and Co., Kelson. Dear Sirs,— It affords me n.uch pleasure to ht able to advise you of my success witr. fche Rockland Basic Phosphate manure which 1 purchased from you last July. I used this manure on my GRAIN CROPS (OATS and WHEAT). The paddock where this grain grew is the poorest piece of land on ray property and during the forty years I have had this place, l have never had a crop sc good by naif. It is the opinion of the farmers in this neighbourhood that my oat crop is the best in the district, and ruy wheat crop is exceptionally good. i, have to put this- success down "to youi Sasic Phosphate. You can make use of this reference co help to make the manure known. a« after my success I" feel it is the best ' manure and the cheapest on the market. (Signed) ALEX. DSUMMOND. Motueka, Jan. 14th, 1915. llessrs. Bisley Bros, and Co., Nelson. Dear Sirs, — I have great pleasure in advising you of the success I have had from the Rockland Basic Phosphate which J purchased from you last Jnlv. I used the majority on GRASS PADDOCKS, and I can confidently say that during the--ten years I have had this property, 1 have nevar had hasf the grass l have had this season..although 1 have stocked- tho ground as heavily . .-<s usual. Tho effect of your manure is wen more surprising seeing that the season has been e.'ccentimihlly dry and •a general bad y«ar" for grass.'
