MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the committee was. held after the annual meeting, the president (Mr H. Baigent) in the chair.

The dates applied for by the l>annevirke Racing Club clashing with the Nelson Jockey Club's usual dates, it was resolved to forward an objection to the Racing Conference.

Mr J. H." Finney was appointed to represent the club at the annual conference of country racing clubs to be held at Wellington on July 11th. Messrs J. E. Bartlett, G. Best, and J. Hagen Avere appointed a ground cora-hiitt-ce to look after the course, with power., to act.Several other, matters were dealt with,, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
