Thompson Bros., Wellington, report as follows on the world's fruit market:

London reported on June Ist thai 21,700 cases of Tasmanian apples had been sold at Liverpool at 7s to 9s 9d, and 5,500 cases of Victorian at 6s to Bs. Most of the latter 'were too ripe. On June 3rd 16,600 cases of Tasmanian apples were sold at Liverpool at froir, 7s to 10s 3d.

A few Victorian and South Australian apples in excellent condition sold in London on June 4th at 8s to 10s 6d per case.

Reports received on June 7th showed the market for apples to firm. Victorian apples realised 9s to 12_s, softer sorts 7s to 8s 6d.

Arrivals in London on 'June 6th by the Mooltan met a keen demand, especially hard sorts. Tasmanian Cleopatra realised 9s to lls, exceptional quality .12s, Stunner and French Crab 9s to 10s 6cl. others 8s 6d to 9s 6d; South Australian Bs, 9s, and 10s; West Australian 9s to lls; Tasmanian Vicai pears 13s to 14s. Victorian apples sold at 9s 6d to 10s 6d. Pears were mostly wasty, but a few good Josephine brought 21s. The balance of Tasmania n apples, at Liverpool sold at 7s to 10s, and a few Victorian at 7s to 8s 3d.

On J^»ne 9th Tasmanian apples arrived in Liverpool in splendid condition, -selling at from 8s 6d to 10s 3d. Victorian were over-ripe and some spotted. Prices ranged from 6s 6d' to 9s 6d. Vicar pears brought 7s 6d to 10s 6d, Winter Nelis 15s, others 9s to 13s 6d. Prices received from Liverpool on June 16th were 8s 6d to 9s 6d for Tasmanian apples, a few at 10s, and soft at 6s 3d to Ss. Victorian realised 7s to 9s 3d.

The market for apples eased on June 17th, Victorian selling at 6s 6d to 9s 3d. Tasmanian pears in trays sold at 3s 6d to 6s 6d, half-cases 3s 6d to 6s 6d. cases 8s to 10s.
