A successful entertainment was held at Stoke last night. In the course of the evening, Mr J. S. Evans spoke effectively on tho claims of the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund, and de--.lt with some excuses wluV-ii are occasionally advanced for failure to contribute to it.
