A Sydney Press Association cable states that Archdeacon Boyce has resigned tho leadership of the State Temperance Party.
Trooper Horace Polglaze, who enlisted with the Third Reinforcements and landed at Gallipcli. . was posted as missing, but is now believed to be dead. He was 27 years of age, the seventh son of Mr and Mrs-Joseph Polglaze, now of Hamilton, Waikato. The deceased was born at Nelson, and removed to the North Island with his parents when quite young He was for several years with Rouse and Hurrell, coachbuilders, etc., of Wellington, and for some years had a business at Pangaroa. He was a Forester, a member of the Pangaroa Brass Band, and was successful in cycle road-racing. He was the only single member of a family of 10, and at the time of enlisting he held a section at Hamilton, milking upwards of 50 cows with machines.
