The- British casualties in June were 17dO officers and 29,761 men, compared with 1G23 officers -.mf! 57.103 men in
May
The Admiralty casualties "were 440 officers and 7376 men.
-The Government are extending unemployment assurance to all branches of munition workers.
The Board of Agriculture Cpmmit■fcee reports'that it is estimated that a ,tMrd of the agricultural labourers, Ua,»ely 300,000, have enlisled, and it is expected only 35 per cent, will re•fcurii after the Avar, It gives a warning that it is imperative for something to be done to swell the ranks of agricultural labour or otherwise maintain production. It recommends the Governir ent to take measures ensuring tiie prosperity of agriculture and enabling the payment of a minimum
