ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Stoke Road Board was held on Saturday. Present r.Messrs.- J. E. Bartlett (chairman), T. B.- Chisnall/ H. T. Palmer, D. Giblin, and A. P. Allport. The overseer reported that roads at Tahuna are being repaired and gravelled. German Village and Kelling's roads had been pared, and Fairhall's and BurkettV roads gravelled where needed. The road between the Hope ' station and Fanzelow's required attention and the ditch from Percy Busch's to Schwass's needed ploughing out. Slips on Shirtliff's road and Aniseed v alley hill had been cleared away, and ■ culverts and watertables cleared out. I The secretary of the Tahuna Progressive Association wrote drawing attention to the bad state of Moana street. —Being attended to. The acting Under-Secretary of the rubhc Works Department wrote enclosing Order-in-Council declaring portion of Best's road, Appleby, exenpt from section 117 of the Public Works Ac.t. • J^-

It was resolved that Oakey's corner to Orphanage bridge be gravelled, also that portions of Clover road be attended to. • ..■..■
