A Berlin communique says: "On Thursday night German torpedoers attacked a Russian squadron consisting of an armoured cruiser, a protected cruiser, and five destroyers, between Heafringe and Landsort. After a short engagement the Russians withdrew. Despite a heavy bombardment, we suffered no casualties or damage."
