Under ideal Weather conditions tlio Tapawera Horticultural and Industrial Association's annual show was held on Easter Monday in the Druids' Hall, and the annual dog trials were held on Mr. G. ' Macmahon's property. A :-rowd of' townspeople journeyed to Tapawera ...by the eai-ly morning train, and en route v<ere joined by a large number of country residents. Many persons also travelled from Takaka, Motueka, Blenheim and other districts. The attendance of t,':e public was considered to be easily a record, and it is ' understood that the patriotic funds will hem-lit to a large extent. With regard to the horticultural 1 show there was a marked improvement in the exhibits as comnared with those of last year, while in the fruit and vegetable classes much praise was given by the judge i.o tlio competitors. In the domestic and industrial classes the exhibits would be hard to beat anywhere, whi!e those entered for the children's competition:) received a good deal of favourable attention. . 1 An auction sole of prod ceo was he id, and realised ,G7.
