REFRESHMENTS TO BE PROVIDED

With a view to making more attractive the Soldiers' Room in the Nolron Institute building carried on und?r the auspices of the National Reserve, a meeting of ladies was held at the reside tied' of the Mayoress (Mr* C. J. Harley) on Thursday nftevnopn v the Mayoresses of Motuekn (Mrs 0. Lowe) and Richmond (Mrs J'nnios Hunt) being amongst those present. It was decided that ladies should take turns in.acting as hostesses-, mid that momiiui, afternoon, and evening tea and ligiit, refreshments should bo provided for those entitled to i^se the room. Over thirty ladies have signified their Avillingiipss tr> act as hostesses, and others who arc- not able to not in tha+- capacity will assist by donations. Ladins who are willing to assist in this good work are invited to communicate with ,the hon. secretary, Miss .Richmond, * N'lle street.
