A LAD SERIOUSLY INJURED,
A very serious accident befell tho second eon of Mr T. G. Bennitt, of Murchison, on Sunday evening. The lad, who is glpvou years of age r wont to the garden at the roar of the residences for the. purpose of taking a horse to the paddock. Downk? started from Murcfiison at hslt'-pnst ten at night., bringing the boj and Mrs and Miss Bonnitt in his car to Nelson, w.here an operation to relieve thi« pressure-on■■■the-brain ■was periorniod .before six o'clock yesterday morning. The relatives arc dcoplv indebted to Mr Dowme -for his action in travelling all night.. On inquiry at the. Hospital last evening it was 'learned that the boy was improving, although in a serious condition.
