MINERAL DISCOVERY AT GOLDEN BAY.
By the nature of, the Government Analyst's report and the granting of a small GoveVriment subsidy to assist in further development, the prospectors (Messrs Ryan and party) have' boen.oncouraged to further efforts in finding out the true-value of a reef which.they have been tracing. Tho reef (according to information supplied to the "Golden Bay Times") is situated on Mount Richards, 3500 ft above sea kirel, and distajit from Takaka about 7 miles in a direct'line. The lode, varies from 80ft to 100 ft in widr'i, is well mineralised, and-carries p'ir./ipally gold, silver, and co"]i"!-.
