Peaches 4 s to 5s 6d per quarter-case. Tomatoes: Nelson, Auckland, Napier, | and Gisborne from 3s to 5s ]H>r ease. Quinces: Cooking from 1-Jd to l^cl per lb. Apples: Cooking from lid to lfd, dessert 3d to 3d per lb. Pasaioiifruit: Gisborne grown up to 7s 6d per quarter-ca-se. Pears: Quarter-cases 2s 6d to 4s 6d, bushel cases 6s 6d to 6s Bd. Cucumbers 6s 6d per biuskel casa, 3s 6d to 4s 6d per quarter-case. Pie, rock, and water melons, and pumpkins wanted; ivalmits wanted.' Bray Bros. (Dunedin), Ltd v report as follows for the week ended April 15th: There lias been a. pint in. tomatoes during the week, with the result that prices" have been disastrous to growers. All other classes of fruit _ have been bringing remunerative prices. Apples and "pears aro scarce, and the demand is good. It is thought, however, that apples will shortly come- down in price.
