FRENCH REMAIN ON THE DEFENSIVE.
Paris, April 10
A semi-official message points out that German communiques persistently allege that General Pctain.is counterattacking, of course, unsuccessfully, but sufficiently violently to explain why the Germans have restricted their operations. In reality General Petain is still on tho defensive, and will remain so as long as be thinks fit.
